Throwback Thursday

As I mentioned before, my daughter and I have been spending quite a bit of time in my craft room. It's been wonderful! She came up with four designs for thank you cards for her upcoming baby showers (we have 2), some with the help of Pinterest and others on her own. I will be sharing those over the next four weeks as we used up some of my retired product, all of which can easily be replaced with Stampin' Up! current product. (Retired Product - Pretty in Pink Cardstock and Ink, Ribbon -- can be replaced with Pink Pirouette or Blushing Bride Cardstock and Ink, Ribbon can be replaced with any ribbon of your choice.)

Below is the first card we did, and the only card I helped her assemble. The rest she did on her own (it was past midnight and this ol' gal was exhausted)!

Sale-a-Bration Ends on March 31

Botanicals for You may just be my absolute favorite Sale-a-Bration stamp set this year. I love the bold "just for you" sentiment that is easily a stand-alone focal point for any card. The associated sentiments are perfect for any occasion as well. Today I paired it with the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack. I can't believe I've had this since the beginning of Sale-a-Bration and have never even cracked it open! The designs on this vellum are absolutely stunning! I took my Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Marina Mist, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers and colored in the images on the back side of the vellum. I then attached it to a piece of Whisper White to make everything pop and created a gorgeous background paper. I inked up my "just for you" image in Basic Black Archival Ink and stamped it in the center of the vellum. Perfect! All of this is attached to a card base of Wisteria Wonder. I finished off my card with a panel of Whisper White on the inside with the stamped sentiment and the floral images from the stamp set. I love how this card turned out!

Watermelon Wonder Waterfall

While my daughter was searching Pinterest to get inspiration for her baby shower thank you cards, she came across a waterfall card and asked me to show her how to make them. Well of course!!! I get so excited when my kids want to get creative. The stamping bug is slowing grabbing ahold of her and I couldn't be happier. All of her cards are created with the Zoo Babies stamp set and since it was out, that's what I went with. She's having a girl, so Watermelon Wonder was my color of choice. I chose to do a monochromatic card to show her.

Project Life Love Story

My daughter and I spent several hours in my craft room Sunday and Monday. It was such a great bonding time for us! I love that I can pass my love of Stampin' Up! to her. We made 60 thank you cards for her upcoming baby showers (I will be sharing those on Throwback Thursday over the next few weeks as we were using up a lot of my retired product) and she worked on her Project Life Love Story album that she is making for her fiancé. She made 5 layouts in less than an hour. All she has to do is add photos and journaling. If you love scrapbooking (like I do), but don't have the time for traditional scrapbooking (like me!), the you really MUST try Project Life. It is a great way to preserve your memories!
