Number of Years

My nephew had a birthday earlier this month and he's at the age where money and gift cards are the only way to go.  He's been saving for something special, so I decided to gift him a little cash to stash away.  I love making gift card holders and money holders as this adds a personal touch to what I always think of as an "impersonal" gift.  This was really fun to make using some new product from the Occasions Catalog.  The best thing ... you can purchase the Number of Years stamp set along with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies in a bundle and save 15%!  I created the matching envelope using the Envelope Punch Board.  Isn't this fun!

Throwback Thursday

In an effort to use up some of my stash (yes, my name is Jamie and I am a Stampin' Up! hoarder) I am creating projects with retired product.  I can't stand the thought of throwing anything away and I have LOTS of stuff to use up, from Designer Series Paper to ribbon to embellishments!  And, I'm ashamed to admit, MANY stamp sets that have never seen ink.  Today's project features the retired Summer Smooches DSP and the Best Day Ever stamp set from last year's Sale-a-Bration, as well as Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon.  You can easily recreate this project using any current Designer Series Paper and stamp set!   I created this gem with the Gift Bag Punch Board.  Hope you like it.

Paper Pumpkin Bonus Project

I am super proud to be a member of Angie Kennedy Juda's Stampin' Up! team!  She is an amazing stamping artist.  Several of our team have recently joined up to create alternate projects for our My Paper Pumpkin subscribers.  My project for January's kit is below.  My 15-year-old son needed a little gift set for his girlfriend so I came up with an earring box and coordinating 3x3 card (inspired by Mary Fish).  I just love how it turned out!  If you would like to receive PDFs for a minimum of 8 alternate Paper Pumpkin projects each month please head on over to My Paper Pumpkin and sign up!  Right now during Sale-a-Bration, you can purchase a prepaid 3-month subscription for $55.00 (a savings of $4.85) and receive one FREE Sale-a-Bration item!  What are you waiting for?

New Year, New Schedule

I want to thank you all for waiting patiently while I took my little break.  I got my hubby off to return overseas on Friday afternoon and took the weekend to recuperate from all the whirlwind fun we had during his 2-1/2 week stay.  It's always too short and goes by way too fast!

With the new year, I am going to try something a little different with my blog to see if I can be more consistent.  Being a full-time mom holding down a part-time job and trying to fit everything else in has been challenging.  Therefore, I am going to attempt to post projects on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  On Tuesdays I will post Stampin' Up!'s Weekly Deals.  I am trying my best to use up all of my retired product, so on Thursday's, I will be posting projects made with retired product that can easily be replaced with current product.  I will be calling this Throwback Thursday.  I will also post any promotions as they arise.

That being said, today is Monday, so here is a new project for you!  This is my Customer Appreciation Card for last month's purchases.  I try to get my cards out by the 5th of every month for customers who made purchases the prior month (this includes any My Paper Pumpkin subscribers)!  I was a bit late this month, but they did go out!

I saw this video by Dawn Griffith and decided this was what I wanted to use for my cards.  I am so thrilled with how it turned out!  And it uses items from the new Occasions Catalog as well as the Sale-a-Bration Catalog!  Please note that the FREE Designer Series Paper - Perfectly Artistic - is only available until February 15, 2016!!!  Get yours while you can!
