Weekly Deals!

Two posts in one day!  I'm on a roll!  Not really, I just forgot to share this week's Weekly Deals with you in my first post.  I still have holiday brain going on.  That and my hubby will finally be home 1 week from today!  I can barely stand it, I'm so excited.

Here are this week's weekly deals.  Be sure to stop by my store to get yours while they last!

Mini Treat Bags Make Great Gift Card Holders

This year I got all my nephews gift cards for Christmas.  They are at that age where all they want is video games so this was the best option for me.  I decided to pull out my trustee Mini Treat Bag thinlet and get to work!  I used the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack for all the bags.  One piece of paper was the perfect size for one bag!  I then created an insert for the mini treat bag and punched a slot for the ribbon in the top with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch.  I did have to pull out retired ribbon as all of my current ribbon is gone and I am forcing myself to use up all of my retired product before I buy any new ribbon (okay, okay, maybe I won't wait that long)!  I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the gift card to the insert.  The Among the Branches stamp set was perfect for these gift card holders.

Weekly Deals and Holiday Schedule

Below are this week's Weekly Deals!  Be sure to get in on these steals before they're gone!

My Holiday Schedule is has been very hectic and will continue to be until the end of January.  I typically host Christmas at my home since mine is the largest in the family and also centrally located.  This year is no exception.  However, my house is a complete wreck!  My daughter moved home from college, as she will be taking the spring semester off to have her first baby and my first grandbaby!  Yay!  After that, she will be transferring to a school that is only 20 minutes from home rather than 3-1/2 hours so that this Nana can help out with childcare while she finishes her degree!  That being said, I have boxes EVERYWHERE!  I will be spending the next 2 days cleaning and sorting so as to be ready for all of my family on Christmas morning.

Then in the first week of January, my honey will be returning home for a nearly 3 week vacation ... he is currently overseas with his job and has been gone since the end of June.  I cannot wait to see his gorgeous face coming off the airplane!  We will be taking a cruise with our children, my parents and some close friends of ours.  Super excited about that as well.

I will continue to post Weekly Deals (with the exception of January 12 as I will be on the ocean) and will sporadically post projects during the next 4-5 weeks while I spend time with my family.  I have been working on some projects, just haven't made the time to photograph and post them, but I promise I will do my best to get a few up, especially those last few projects from the Holiday catalog before it ends on January 4.

In closing, I would like to wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season!  Enjoy your time with your families!

November Customer Appreciation Card

If you've followed my blog, you know that I like to send my customers an appreciation card each month.  Last month I began including a PDF with instructions to recreate the card.  My customers (who I really consider friends) love it and I'm so glad!

I'm not always the most creative on my own, but I get inspiration from other crafters' blogs, YouTube, Pinterest and all sorts of other places.  This month's card is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from Dawn Griffith's video.  She's an absolutely amazing paper crafter!  I just love everything she does!

I'm SUPER late getting my November Customer Appreciation Card out this month.  I always shoot for the 5th of the month, but this month has been extremely crazy and I just haven't been on the ball.  But, here it is!  Enjoy!

Peaceful Pines for the Holidays

I participate in a monthly card swap with some fabulous ladies.  This card was my swap for October ... I know, I know.  I'm pretty late in sharing!  The good news is that the stamp set and matching framelit are being carried over into the Occasions Catalog which begins January 5, 2016.  And if you before January 5, you can purchase the stamp set and framelits in a bundle and save 15%!!!  I love the festive feel of this card.

October Customer Thank You

Each month I make a little thank you card for my customers.  I am a little late in posting October's, although they did go out in the mail on time!  I also include a PDF with instructions and supplies needed to recreate the card.  I was really happy with this card.  Once again I featured the Acorny Thank You stamp set.  Love this little gem!

Thanks for stopping by!

Let's try this again!

Once again, life has gotten in the way of my creative time.  It's been quite a while since I last posted.  I have several projects to share over the next several days and I've been working on updating my blog pages to have current contact/ordering information.  My contact page and order page are now good to go.  If you'd like to join me on this Stampin' Up! demonstrator journey, you will still need to contact me directly as that page is not updated yet.

This was a fun card to make!  It was for a monthly swap that I participate in.  I love how the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with some ink swiped over the top adds so much to this card.  I'm really sad to see it retire.  The Acorny Thank You stamp set was NOT on my list of favorites when I first saw the Occasions Catalog.  However, it quickly rose to the top!  It is just so stinkin' cute!

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  The supplies needed to recreate this card are below.

Pinterest Inspiration

My nephew (who is also an avid baseball player) turned 9 on Sunday.  I knew I wanted to make him a baseball themed card, so off to Pinterest I went!  When I saw THIS card I knew I'd found the card to case.  I contacted my SIL to find out what his team colors were and used those as my palette.  I started with a Night of Navy card base and a Whisper White canvas.  I have to admit -- I am a paper hoarder!  I have got the paper stacks going back several years in every color family and I have sworn to myself that I will NOT order any more color family paper stacks (except new In Colors) until I've exhausted my stockpile.  However, even though the designs on my DSP have retired, the colors have not and you can still get the Designer Series Paper Stacks in all color families (and I've linked those for you below).

I used the Red Glimmer Paper with the Stars Framelits to create the outlined stars and the Night of Navy card stock to create the solid star.  I then ran the Night of Navy star through my Big Shot with the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I punched the "baseball" with the 1-3/8" Circle Punch and drew the stitching on with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, which I then popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Night of Navy strip was punched with the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.  The sentiment is from the Crazy About You stamp set.  I sure hope he loves his card as much as I loved making it for him!

Thanks for stopping by!

Snow Place Triple Tier Slider Card

Sorry I've been absent for so long!  Who knew being a baseball mom was so time consuming?  My son recently playing with a travel baseball team, which entails a minimum of 4 days of baseball per week with a minimum of 30 minutes travel time, each way, each day!  That, combined with all of my regular "mom" duties as well as work, make for a very busy schedule and very little time in the craft room.  Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way!

On to today's card.  I am absolutely in love with the Snow Place stamp set!  The little snowmen and the penguin are so stinkin' adorable!  And the sentiments are equally as cute.  I saw THIS video tutorial for creating this fun moving card over on YouTube and knew right away I had to try it.  And what better stamp set to use than Snow Place?  I am so super excited by the way this card turned out, especially because it's my very own design and not cased from anyone :)

This was such a fun card to create.  I created the little snow banks under the snowmen with my Soft Sky Stampin' Write Marker.  I think it adds a nice touch!

Work of Art Thank You

This is the card I am mailing to anyone who places an order with me this month.  I saw it here.  Dawn always makes the CUTEST cards!  I do not have the stamp sets she used, but immediately knew I would use Work of Art and Another Thank You to recreate her card.  I also wanted to showcase one of the new 2015-2016 In Colors.  I chose Mint Macaron.  I think it is just as cute using these stamp sets!

Mojo Monday 400 with Watercolor Wings

I am so enjoying being back in my craft room!  I wish I had more time to go in and create (and you may find some gaps between posts), but between work and my son's travel baseball schedule, my life is crazy!  I wouldn't have it any other way, though!

I'm sure you don't want to hear about my crazy life, though.  After all, you came here to see something crafty and creative :)

Today's card features the Mojo Monday 400 sketch and Watercolor Wings stamp set.  I absolutely LOVE this stamp set!  It has so many possibilities.

This card just makes me happy!  Because the Designer Series Paper has a vanilla background, I sponged the Tea Lace Paper Doily with Crumb Cake ink to soften the starkness of the white doily.  I think it helped.

Updates Coming

I am in the process of updating my blog with current information.  Since I was out of the Stampin' Up! game for awhile, many of my links on my sidebar are no longer active.  Please bear with me over the next several days while I get everything current.  Thank you all very much!

Mojo Monday 413

I've finally been able to play in my stamp room and the best place to start when you've been lacking in the mojo department is a sketch.  My go to sketches are always from Mojo Monday!  Here I use Mojo 413 to get my juices flowing.

I love this layout!  I made a Tall & Skinny card like the sketch (3.5" x 5.5"), but it could easily be converted to a standard card!  And as always, I had to add a little finishing touch to the inside.

This was a fun sketch to work with and very easy for me.  They aren't always!

Texas Theme - USING SOME RETIRED PRODUCT

I participated in a one-to-one State swap with one of the ladies at VC Rocks and I wanted to stick with a Texas Theme since I'm from -- you guessed it -- TEXAS!  I saw almost this identical card on Pinterest, which led me to  this blog post by Mary Bush.  I tweaked my version of her card just a little and the little 3D gifts I stayed with the same theme.  Unfortunately, I had to use some retired product to keep within the theme I wanted, but I'm okay with that!

The little note key ring is made with index cards and the miniature coffee cup, which was all the rage last year, was purchased from webrestaurantstore.com.

To get the look on the embossed section of the card and the front of the key ring I took Crumb Cake Classic Ink directly to my embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot.

Life's Little (BIG) Moments!

Hi Friends!  I just wanted to post a quick note to let you all know that I am moving my daughter into her college dorm this weekend.  I do have a post scheduled while I'm gone and will be back week after next with some new projects.  This mama needs some time to adjust :)  Thanks for your patience!

Watercolor Wings

I absolutely love this new stamp set from the 2015-2016 Idea Book and Catalog.  It is simply gorgeous and the color combinations are endless.  This is what people are calling the corner flip or corner fold card.  I watched a video on YouTube to learn how and it's super easy to do (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFtaS2ZL5F8).  I really, really like how it turned out.  I did add a border on one and not the other.  I know my favorite.  What's yours?

Sprinkles of Life - Mojo Monday 399

While I haven't been posting in a long time, I have been stamping and participating in swaps.  This swap utilized the Mojo Monday Sketch 399 as my inspiration.  I wanted to showcase the new 2015-2017 In Colors and the fun Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set Sprinkles of Life.  For every Sprinkles of Life set purchased, Stampin' Up! will donate $3.00 to RMHC!!!  This set is super cute and so versatile!  And the icing on the cake is that there is a coordinating punch!

Any time I use a colored card base, I like to place a white panel on the inside for a message from the giver and I always want it to coordinate with the card front.  While this is not my favorite card ever, I'm okay with it and I think it's cute.
