Chocolate Bunny

I am participating in a monthly card swap on the demonstrator side over on Splitcoaststampers. I signed up late so my first month was February and the theme was Easter or St. Patrick's Day. I chose Easter. I was really proud of myself - I got my card done early and mailed so there would be plenty of time for it to reach the states, which it did in record time. Unfortunately, I inadvertently used a retired stamp set! The swap hostess was kind enough to let me slide this month. However, I did not feel right having her swap out a card that most of the other demonstrators could not use so I redid my card. I used the Chocolate Bunny stamp set as well as the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini. Hope you like it!

Easel Card

I have begun participating in some swaps on the demo side of Splitcoaststampers lately. I created this beautiful Easel Card (see instructional video by Dawn Griffith here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldhKxcFkIjo). I used the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit from the Occasions Mini and cut the Bermuda Bay hearts with the Full Heart Punch then ran them through my Big Shot with the Perfect Dots Embossing Folder. The Whisper White piece beneath the hearts is edged with the Scallop Trim Border (available FREE in the Sale-a-Bration catalog which runs through March 31). The sentiment is from the Well Scripted stamp set, also in the Occasions Mini. Hope you like it!

I'm Back...

Ok, so I have been COMPLETELY absent from my blog for way too long! I haven't been absent from creating, though. I have to admit, I am not very good at coming up with my own projects. I am a total CASE (Copy And Share Everything) cardmaker. Often times, I copy things exactly, but lately I've been trying to step outside my comfort zone and use the layouts I see to create something totally my own. This creation was actually made using a tutorial by Becky Roberts.

Isn't it darling?

The pictures aren't the best, but... This little box holds four 3x3 cards with matching envelopes and 3 Hershey nuggets wrapped in Designer Series Paper. I used Bermuda Bay as the base for the box and the divided insert as well as for the cards. The Designer Series Paper is Thoroughly Modern and the Stamp Set is Things I Love, which you can currently earn free with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration (which ends March 31). I also Melon Mambo polka dotted grosgrain ribbon as well as my circle punches. Hope you enjoy! I'll be back tomorrow with another one of my recent projects.
